Join CAAHEP for an engaging panel discussion, “Shaping the Future of Allied Health: Education, Standards & Workforce Readiness.” This session features insights from two prominent leaders in allied healthcare education and training: Dr. Teddy Farias and Dr. Kerry Weinberg.

Dr. Farias, Dean of Health and Natural Sciences at San Jacinto College, brings a unique perspective shaped by his background as a chiropractor and a passion for higher education. With a B.S. in Biological Sciences, a Doctorate of Chiropractic, and a Master’s in Higher Education, Dr. Farias has dedicated his career to fostering excellence in allied health programs at institutions like St. Louis Community College, San Juan College, and Wichita State University. His extensive involvement in leadership roles, including his current presidency on the board of Family Promise of Lake Houston and his board membership with CAAHEP, underscores his commitment to community and the future of healthcare.

Dr. Kerry Weinberg, currently the Program Director at Toro University and a fellow board member of CAAHEP, offers a wealth of experience in program development and accreditation. Her diverse academic background, including a BA from Fordham University, an MPA from New York University, and both an MA and PhD from Fielding Graduate University, provides a strong foundation for her leadership in allied health education.

Together, Dr. Farias and Dr. Weinberg will lead a dynamic conversation exploring critical strategies for future success in allied health, focusing on the pivotal roles of education, rigorous standards, and effective workforce readiness initiatives.
